- Saku Kurosawa was originally the son of a scientist that joined the rebellion. It was Saku's digitization that prompted the scientist to leave, but they unfortunately became infected before ever freeing Saku. In the virtual world, Saku quickly settled in his new surroundings and was thus changed from a 'player' to a possible 'route'. Having never been 'picked' before, Saku had no experience with love until Karina.

He really did love them, but his memories were at the mercy of the computer.

Karina was his first true love and that is why he tried to guide her down each 'route' instead of just one.

Other: Giacomo's hair color is the result of multiple attempts to dye it to hide his symptoms. (The illness is trying to 'rewrite' him, causing the color changes)
