Bio: A college student living off of art commissions and convenience store food, Rune was disowned by his family the day he was born. The witch that had confirmed Rune was 'The Fool' pitied the child and took him in, but she had little money and the two went hungry more often than not. As he grew up, Rune did everything he could to repay the witch for all she had done for him. The moment he was old enough he started a paper route and gave every penny he earned to the witch. Even after moving out of the witch's home Rune sends her all that he can, often going hungry in favor of sending the money he could have used on food to the witch. Rune has survived despite his irresponsible selflessness thanks to the kindness of his roommate in his college dorm.
Other: Rune is sadly no stranger to blacking out and being trapped.

Bio: After being born, he was always looked down upon, and seen as a nuisance. Often being trying to fit in and follow anyone he could like a lost puppy, he was bullied mercilessly. Once in college, he tried very hard not to follow people, or be dependant, but would often do things and steathily follow a person he had latched onto.
Other: blends into his environment, and is often over looked in a crowd.

Bio: Blake was born sickly, his only companions being his doctors and his books. After a horrible accident he can't recall, Blake was left blind and deaf in one ear when there was an explosion at the hospital. Mere days after recovering from those injuries Blake was kidnapped along with his sibling by an unknown group. Saved with a handful of others, Blake was left traumatized to the point that some days he was catatonic. Blake's sibling often had to help him get dressed and take him by the hand just to get him out of the house.
Other: In The Nonary Game, Blake seems oddly calm.

Bio: A street thug and all around delinquent, Lucy's father(the previous Serpent) left her and her mother at the age of 4. As her mother turned to booze and men(and some women), Lucy learned early on not to depend on anyone. When she was just 12 years old Lucy was already well known by officers for theft and vandalism. Lucy ended up in a gang until, age 22, she ratted out her gang members and became a Private Detective.
Other: Lucy is very pigheaded and doesn't like waiting around.

Bio: Son of a Hero and Princess, Sasha was believed to be doomed from the start. The moment he was old enough, Sasha was taught self defense and lived in a survivalist camp. Desperate to escape his Star, Sasha took to wearing women's clothes and speaking in a light and gentle voice. This helped ease his mind, but he still found his life consumed by survivalist training and talk of finding The Princess. By age 20 Sasha moved out and lived on his own in the city, earning money as a 'Night Companion' while going to school during the day.
Other: Though Sasha has forgotten some of his training, he still has the skills they taught him.

Bio: Younger sibling of Blake Swan, Charlie always looked up to their brother despite not being allowed to see him. Instead, they would send letters to each other every day and kept lockets with each other's pictures. Charlie made numerous attempts to visit Blake, but was always turned away or caught before they could see him. One day, just as Charlie got a fair distance from the hospital there was an explosion that crippled their already sickly brother. Once Blake was healed, Charlie demanded he be allowed to go home with them, and with their parents help it was so. Charlie never left Blake's side, doing everything they could think of to make up for lost time.
Then the 'incident' happened.
Charlie was kidnapped and forced to play a horrifying game to save himself and Blake. They survived with the other children, but the stress was so intense that Charlie has only vague memories of it. After that, Charlie dedicated everything to taking care of Blake.
Other: Charlie only recalls being separated from Blake and that the game was meant to test for something.
